Becca's ever present smile & positive attitude welcomes each student to the practice. She teaches through a trauma sensitive lens to include choice, modifications, breath work, & meditation. Expect to move in all directions & laugh as you flow through practice.

Becca’s signature style is to incorporate mantras throughout the practice to remind all that we ARE more than enough & perfectly imperfect just as we are.

Becca is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher. Since graduating from her first Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in 2016, she continues to be a learner formally through trainings/books/podcasts and informally by taking classes with teacher’s more seasoned than her. To her core, she is an accessible and inclusive yoga instructor who finds so much joy in sharing movement and mindfulness with others.

  • “Becca’s workshop was the most wonderful combination of mental and physical rejuvenation. I’ve tried many different yoga classes and instructors over the years, and I wasn’t convinced the practice was for me until I took Becca’s class. In addition to a wonderful physical flow of movements, Becca took us through a series of mental exercises that helped me achieve a mindset of gratitude and positivity. I can’t wait to attend another workshop!”

    - Craig O., triathlete

  • "Becca is an amazing yoga instructor! After not doing yoga for 10 plus years the experience left me wanting to get back to the practice."

    Kaylin, former yogi

  • "When I attended my first yoga class with Becca, I pulled her aside before the class started to tell her about my social anxiety, which made me almost certain that I would have to leave midway through. However, her warm smile and genuine nature immediately calmed me down, and not only did I finish the entire class with her, but I also looked forward to coming back week after week. What I gained emotionally, mentally, and spiritually was equally met by gaining a friend. Outside of class, Becca is also creating positive change within her local community and I would highly recommend taking one of her classes if you want to practice yoga and be a part of a welcoming and supportive community."

    Karl, new yoga practioner

  • "I thought that the class was very accessible for all levels. Becca was funny and empathetic."

My Yoga Evolution

Evolution!

I stumbled into a Baptiste Power yoga class with my sister in 2008. It was hot, hard, & expensive. I wouldn’t have kept showing up, except it was the one place in my life where I heard words of encouragement. I moved from the Washington, D.C. suburbs to Philadelphia, PA in January of 2014 & continued taking classes at a Baptiste Power yoga studio, as that is all I knew.

I eventually went to a Vinyasa studio that changed my life - because of the people I met & the experiences I had. I worked the front desk, I practiced daily, & the studio became my home. I took Yoga Teacher training in February 2016 to deepen my understanding of yoga & to overcome my fear of public speaking. Upon graduation that June, I taught a weekly class & really liked holding space for folks to explore their bodies through movement & breathwork.

I taught everywhere & anywhere for anyone who would let me. I connected to two local organizations that were bringing yoga where it hasn’t been offered before & I fell madly in love with their approach. Since then, I have been teaching yoga mostly outside of yoga studios all over Philadelphia county. My goal has always been to make yoga available & accessible to anyone who is interested. Additionally, I share these practices to encourage others to show up as their best self for themself & for their community.

My personal practice has evolved over the years to be less of a workout & more of a compliment to my running & lifestyle. I have a daily yoga & meditation practice that grounds me amongst the constant chaos that is the world we live in today & to keep me healthy for my work in public health.

Thank you to my yoga mentors who taught me formally & informally over the years. I would not be the teacher I am today without you.
